“I wear it all the time!” and its corollary, “I never take it off!” are my favorite quotes from loyal clients. Jewelry is as much a part of one’s identity as a signature. That is the guiding principle I apply when designing each piece whether it’s a custom order or part of a new collection.
In my 30 years of designing jewelry, I have created one-of-a-kind and limited edition jewelry of all kinds, particularly wedding and engagement rings. Many clients return over the years for new and original pieces of fine jewelry to compliment their existing pieces. The highly original and strikingly unique look of my work results from formal training in design, starting with a BFA in Metal Arts from California College of the Arts, with further studies at the Kulicke-Starke Academy and GIA in New York, and the Revere Academy in San Francisco. I have exhibited my jewelry at juried craft markets, small select galleries and exclusive retail shops from coast to coast. Ancient techniques such mokume gane, metales casados, and granulation influence my style. My jewelry features an unusual “signature” style of multi-color gold alloys in shades of green, rose and yellow, in 14k, 18k, 22k. I also use palladium white gold alloys, platinum, and silver. Nature is the source of images, textures and rhythms. I live by the ocean and my love of pearls led to an Honorable Mention in the International Pearl Design Contest. Other favorite stones include fancy color diamonds, tourmalines, and boulder opals. Many extraordinary pieces have appeared in jewelry industry professional publications. |
