| Lauren & Gracia’s jewelry is new, yet classic, worn and weathered in the right places. It celebrates the perfect imperfection of the earth. Natural objects inspire their work—stone, water, leather, silver. Their design process is organic. An intuitive collaboration of each component evolves. The two designers engage in a dynamic dialogue, until the piece is complete. They begin with an ancient European method of casting with wax. While carving the wax, the form emerges as they sculpt a piece. Once cast, the sterling may be etched, hammered or polished. Hand-knotted leather is a signature of Lauren & Gracia’s jewelry. Its supple texture complements the subtle ruggedness in their metal work. The jewelry line is designed and handcrafted in their studio in Northern California. |
