Representing Finely Hand Crafted Jewelry
RedStart

RedStart was founded in 2004 by three women in San Francisco, California: Amanda Knox, Sara Shaughnessy and Kim Hoffmann, who met while they were graduate students in Design and Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University.

RedStart currently produces seven lines of silver and gold jewelry, which are available for sale at the RedStart online site and at select boutiques.

RedStart’s Subtle Safety Ring, a statement in fashion and a reminder to women to make safe choices, was selected by New York’s Museum of Modern Art to be part of the exhibition, “SAFE: Design Takes On Risk,” and is now part of their permanent collection.

In addition to producing jewelry lines, designers Amanda and Sara collaborate with numerous clients each month, allowing the clients direct interaction and creative input into the design of pieces like engagement rings and wedding bands. RedStart’s client work is sculptural, with equal emphasis given to gemstones and the metal that holds them.
