Representing Finely Hand Crafted Jewelry
Sharon Zimmerman

Bold and playful, tailored and architectural, tactile and kinetic.

Sharon Zimmerman creates handmade jewelry with a clean and simple aesthetic for jewelry that never clashes with who you are. Preferring the simple and elegant palette of sterling silver, 14 karat gold and 18 karat gold, with just the occasional splash of color, her jewelry is made to be that special piece that you’ll wear every day.

Growing up in Seattle, Sharon Zimmerman was always inspired by the interplay of machinery and nature. Being surrounded by rings of mountains as well as the aesthetics of the aerospace industry, the artist knew from a young age that the world was a wonderful mix of organic and geometric. These days, she draws inspiration for her geometric pieces, as well as her abstract botanical pieces, from the architecture of San Francisco and the natural beauty that surrounds the Bay Area.

With a background in both classical music and yoga, the she spent years in retail sales and hospitality before finally realizing that the art of making jewelry was her true calling.

She initially trained in Madison, Wisconsin at a technical college with local metal sculpture artists before moving to San Francisco to attend the Revere Academy. After she completed her studies, she spent time working with other Bay Area jewelry designers to hone her skills. With her 12 years of experience in retail and hospitality, she has a strong desire to make people happy. She delights in designing pieces that people find unique, beautiful, and treasurable. “Jewelry is the one art form that people interact with directly on a daily basis-wearing jewelry has a tactile and sensual quality that few other art forms have. This intimacy with art is what most interests me.”
